Book Review:
Jane Apatova’s book, Dragon Blood, is the second book in the Insatiable Series. It continues the story of Alister and Marissa as they navigate their challenges. This installment also introduces some new characters while bringing back familiar ones from the first book. Love ’em or hate ’em, those old characters are making a comeback!
I really enjoyed this book because it had awesome character development and world building. It’s similar to the first book, but goes into more depth about the society which was helpful. I especially liked seeing Alister and Marissa’s relationship grow, it was so fun to watch them fall in love and see Mari become more confident in herself and their relationship. This book wasn’t as intense as the first one, but it was just right for their story. It gave me enough background to lead me into the next book, and that ending has left me super excited for what’s next.
This story totally lived up to the hype as a spicy fantasy tale with soulmates, epic adventure, and of course, dragons like the title promised. I am definitely going to recommend this book. Grab your copy today and you will definitely enjoy reading it as much as I did.
